Gluten Free Korean Food- SOBAHN

My Husband and I had the pleasure of going to dinner with some friends to their favorite restaurant. I was a bit nervous because I knew It might be hard for me to find something gluten free to eat. Our friends called ahead to make sure that there would be something that I could eat. I was so impressed. We arrived and they had prepared some special dishes just for me. The food was DELICIOUS! And our waiter knew a lot about the food and some of the Korean traditions. The atmosphere was quiet and enjoyable. Most of the time i'm skeptical that people may not even know what gluten is, but the waiter would bring out a dish and let me know what they omitted to make the dish gluten free. My favorite of the night was (wish I could remember the korean name) Spicy tofu soup. It was delicious!
So, if your looking for a quiet date night, or a place to celebrate a special occasion, Sobahn (Overland Park, KS) would be perfect. I would call ahead and let them know you are coming and your dietary request. I think we've found a new favorite spot! http://www.sobahnkc.com/Sobahn/home.html
